One good thing I loved about this hotel is the fact that the staff are always willing to help, they are always working and made sure the place was clean every moment. I think it to be the best hotel on the beach if you ask me. Every room here has an ocean view and a balcony. The hotel is managed well and I am giving thumbs up for the efficiency of the staff. The rooms are simple yet spacious, at the end of the day, what really made Zapata hotel the best for me and my friend was not just the attentiveness of the staff but the privacy, the location and the view. The family feel that this place has just makes it feel like home and the people here are just friendly, recommending where to visit and what not. That cultural experience that I got, I don’t think it can be beat by any other hotel in Boca Chica. There is this great Italian restaurant just few blocks away from the hotel called Bella Naopoli, their food here is amazing and not so expensive. You will get 100%customer service, hotel is right on the beach and you will enjoy tranquility and privacy. I stayed in one of the beach side rooms; you will find it very calming and comfortable. It brings me so much joy at the perfect customer service rendered here by the staff even though some of them don’t understand English language. The hotel is clean, quiet and very traditional in my opinion. I had an amazing hotel experience here with the early morning walks along the beach side with my friend as some locals train and play baseball on the beach front. GREAT STAFF, great customer service, beach view, privacy and good rooms.

My husband and I have been staying at the Zapata for about 6 years. We began by staying for a few days and now spend a whole month there. The place is as clean as you'll ever find. The rooms are simple but have ac and good sized closets. Most rooms have balconies. Breakfast is included.Lunch and dinner are also available and the food is great. Their rates are quite reasonable. We've met many travelers there and had great conversations around the Tiki bar. This is a family run hotel with Marta and her son Roberto as the main persons for advice and recommendations. The staff is always friendly. They employ some wonderful people from cleaning staff to the main guys who do everything from checking you in to serving drinks. There are nice night watchmen who will open the door for you when you come from town. Marta's family speak Spanish but are also fluent in English as are many of the workers there.

Check in is simple since this is a small hotel.
For the normal taxi fee they will pick you up at the airport. This has always worked well for us. The workers will make sure your bags are taken to your room and instruct you on the use of the tv etc.

The rooms are simple and immaculate, most with a double bed, bedside table, and desk with a stool. There is a nice tiled bath and big closet with a safe, shelves, and hanging area. Most rooms have balconies.

Restaurants and Bars:
The food is great at the Zapata but if you want to take short walk to town there are many good place to eat. We like Swiss Pequena, Italy Italy, De Nancy,
Boca Marina (longer walk) and the guy who has a very small stand where you can have chicken with plantain that my husband craves. At night the main street is closed to traffic and the restaurants serve in or out side with tables in the street.

The front of the hotel is simple with parking for guests. The common areas are attractive with tile floors and nice artwork. The covered outdoor dining room is quite pleasant. The grounds are raked numerous time per day to keep it very clean. In the courtyard there are palms for shade and mini tiki tables next to many lounges for the guests. Also the beach staff will carry a lounge to the beach for you which is just off the courtyard.Yes this is a beach front hotel.

Activities on and off the Resort/Hotel:
Our main activity is relaxation. There are dive shops on the beach, paddle boats to rent, fishing tour trips, snorkeling trips, trips to the city(Santo Domingo)and more.
