I read seven reviews on this hotel before embarking on my stay at the Paraiso De Colon. One review from Eve in Canada put me off somewhat but I was impressed by some of the other reviews and booked it! One of the reviews that impressed me was from Claire and John from Canada, and guess what....... I had the pleasure of meeting them both during my stay and they were lovely people! They gave me the great honour of inviting me to their 40th wedding anniversary party in Cabarete and it was a wonderful evening! Hello Claire and John! Hope you are well!

The hotel is fantastic, it is no longer all inclusive which means the rates are good,especially if staying long term. I stayed three months and after initially booking into a studio then moved to the penthouse overlooking the pool and lush tropical gardens. It was fantastic with a seperate bedroom, lounge/dining area, huge balcony, kitchenette and bathroom and the rent was $520 US a month! That included maid service every day! It costs more if you are only going for a short break obvously, but long term its a lot cheaper than you could rent in the UK! The pool is beautiful, huge and clean, the hotel is so close to everything and yet unless you know of it you wouldnt even know it was there as it is just tucked off the main road and is so peaceful and tranquil. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and would recommend it to anyone.,
